Why see a prosthodontist?
Prosthodontics is an ADA-recognized specialty in restoring and replacing teeth, with three more years of accredited training after dental school. When worn, broken and missing teeth all need attention at once, a prosthodontist plans the whole mouth and brings in other specialists where they are needed.
Our doctors
Two prosthodontists lead the practice, with a board-certified prosthodontist, a Chief Resident from Penn’s prosthodontics program and a general and cosmetic dentist alongside. Every one of them keeps studying.
Each has their own training and their own focus. Together they cover everything from a filling to a full mouth rehabilitation.

Trained in prosthodontics at Temple, then joined his father George's practice and worked beside him until George retired in 2005. Common questions
Prosthodontics is one of the dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association. A prosthodontist completes three more years of accredited training after dental school, focused on restoring and replacing teeth. Many of our patients simply come for cleanings and check-ups. When several problems need solving at once, Dr. Isaacson and Dr. Reinhardt act as the architect of the plan and bring in other specialists where they are needed.
New patients start with a consultation. Dr. Isaacson, Dr. Reinhardt or Dr. Milone performs a comprehensive exam and reviews your dental and medical history. Once a treatment plan is agreed, the front office gives you a detailed list of fees and an estimate of what your insurance should cover. You can register online before you come.
The practice works with the major insurance companies and will help you file dental and medical claims. Bring your insurance details with your registration so your benefits can be checked before treatment. Fees and co-payments set by your policy remain your responsibility, and we will explain them up front.
It suits many people who have lost most or all of their teeth, including long-time denture wearers, and it is often possible even with some bone loss, because the back implants are angled into denser bone. The only way to know is a consultation and x-rays.
For many single crowns, yes. The tooth is scanned with the CEREC digital scanner, the crown is designed on screen, and the CEREC Primemill mills it from porcelain in the office. Larger or more complex work still goes to the laboratory.
